The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations. If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted. • Shinewater Primary School • Salary: £31,040 - £32,849 FTE (£26,816 - £28,379 pro rata) - SAT E • Contract/Hours: 37 hours per week; Term Time 5 SDD (39 weeks) • Permanent • Interview Date: w/c 7th January 2026 We are looking to appoint an organised and proactive Attendance and Safeguarding Officer to support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in ensuring the safety, welfare and attendance of students in our school. Hours for this post are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Friday, term time only (including 5 inset days). The successful candidate will: • Have a good standard of education • Be confident using a range of IT packages • Bring a warm and professional approach to all interactions • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail • Be able to work successfully with staff, students, families and external agencies • Have a positive, adaptable mindset, along with the ability to remain calm, organised and focused in a busy environment • Ideally have experience of working in a similar or equivalent safeguarding role.
