This is an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader in South Lanarkshire Roads, Transportation and Fleet services. The role is a temporary post for 2 years. The successful candidate will lead the Development Management Team, applying experience in road design standards, drainage, construction methods, transportation assessments and traffic modelling.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Development Management Team and support the wider roads team.
* Apply knowledge and experience of road design standards, drainage, construction methods, transportation assessments and traffic modelling.
* Assist with policy development and deliver legislative and technical aspects (e.g. Roads Construction Consent).
* Work individually to meet specific deadlines and direction.
* Commit to customer focus, service delivery and responsiveness, and to continuous improvement.
* Travel throughout the Council area as required.

Hours: 35 per week
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday
Salary: £54,783 - £59,911 annual salary
Post Type: Temporary for 2 years
Qualifications
Experience and knowledge in road design standards, drainage, construction methods, transportation assessments and traffic modelling. Understanding of legislative and technical aspects related to Roads Construction Consent and ability to assist with policy development.
