Vehicle Technician Job Description
Are you a trained Level 3 City and Guilds Motor Repair/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification looking for a new challenge?
We are seeking an experienced individual with a background in a main car dealership to join our busy workshop team.
You will be welcomed into a friendly environment and have the opportunity to work with an exciting product. The key responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician position include:
1. Carrying out service, diagnosis, and repair of vehicles to high standards.
2. Communicating effectively with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.
3. Occasionally speaking with customers to provide expert technical advice.
4. Maintaining thorough and current product knowledge.
5. Ensuring high levels of customer service to foster loyalty and referrals.
6. Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.
Requirements include:
* At least 2 years of experience as a vehicle technician.
* Experience in a main car dealership is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* A focus on continuous development, learning, and adaptation, with a passion for the motor industry.
* Good awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
* Completion of a Level 3 Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Repair, BTEC, City & Guilds qualification or higher.
Additional skills that are beneficial include:
* Aptitude for multi-tasking.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Strong quality awareness.
* Full driving license.
Vehicle Technician Salary
Basic salary depending on experience: £35,000; OTE: £60,000
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
