The opportunity
We’re looking for an Underwriting Auditor to support the delivery of our underwriting assurance plan for Delegated Authority Arrangements (DAs) and Managing General Agents (MGAs) across the UK. This role will require an element of business travel. Reviews may be undertaken on-site (Broker offices) or remotely.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the delivery of the UK’s Underwriting Assurance Plan
* Ensuring that all underwriting controls are in place and operating effectively
* Ensuring appropriate operational and regulatory controls are in place to manage the arrangement
* Identifying potential harm to customers and proposing actions through findings and actions
* Using data to produce meaningful insights and analytics monthly
* Working with internal departments across Zurich UK (e.g., Legal, Marketing, Compliance) to ensure controls are in place throughout the lifecycle of the DA
* Collaborating with subject matter experts (Supplier Governance, Legal, Compliance, Distribution) to ensure broker/MGAs display appropriate behaviours
* Engaging with external partners (Brokers) as part of the review process
What we’re looking for
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
* Confidence to question and challenge existing ways of working
* Interest in governance and doing the right thing
* Proactivity and the ability to manage and prioritise own workloads
* Experience working with data to produce insights and analytics monthly
* Ability to produce accurate and timely underwriting assurance review reports
* Understanding of Delegated Authorities is beneficial but not essential
