Overview
A vacancy at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This is an opportunity to work within one of the Cheshire Mental Health Support Team (MHST) based in East Cheshire. The Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner / CYPWP will work with colleagues in the East Cheshire MHST, collaborating with education settings and professionals to support children, young people and their families.
The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings to provide information, advice and guidance through consultation, training, direct work with children and young people and their parents / caregivers, and delivering evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities
* Work within the East Cheshire MHST to provide a range of assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from experienced staff.
* Access regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis.
* Deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.
* Engage with education settings to provide information, training and direct work in line with service objectives.
Qualifications and Remuneration
* Professional registration with a recognised National Body (e.g., BPS, BABCP) or eligibility to obtain registration within 6 months of start date. If not yet registered, the appointment will be to a 6-month fixed-term contract to complete registration, after which the contract will be amended to permanent on confirmation of registration.
* We are happy to consider applications from current Band 4 trainee EMHP/CYWP who are due to qualify soon.

Induction, Scheduling and Application Information
All new starters commence on a fixed monthly start date aligned with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme, which offers up to 3 weeks of training to meet induction / initial training requirements.
