ASSISTANT CHEF: Crews Hill Golf Club - Enfield EN2
We are looking for a full time Assistant Chef at Crews Hill Golf Club for immediate start.
The successful candidate will be flexible towards working hours including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays and must have previous kitchen/cooking experience.
This is a very hands-on role where you will need to be able to work in the kitchen alongside the Head Chef, and work on your own, supported by other team members and waiting staff.
Minimum qualifications require; Food Hygiene level 2 or above (ideally level 3) and a genuine interest and passion in food with ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years experience of working in a kitchen environment, plenty of stamina and the ability to deliver quality dishes to the same high standard every time.
As an Assistant Chef your responsibilities will include but are not limited to duties including; cooking meals from the menu, food preparation and general cleaning duties, adhering to all the Health & Safety policies, ensuring kitchen procedures and schedules are followed and managing kitchen staff to maintain a high level of hospitality and service.
What we required:
* At least 3 years Kitchen/Chef experience
* Level 1 and Level 2 Food Safety certificate
* Level 2 Health & Safety certificate
* Awareness of manual handling techniques and COSHH regulations
* Experience working with fresh ingredients
* Positive energy and personality
* Passion for food and drink and understanding of a multi menu environment
* Attention to detail and excellent standards in food preparation and presentation
* Calmness and a can do attitude in a busy work environment
* Ideas for all types of menu development
* Teamwork to motivate and drive the existing team to deliver the food budget
* Great communication with all team members
* Proven ability to act as a role model demonstrating a positive approach to team morale and development
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Understanding of food budgets and profit margins
* Excellent command of English with the ability to communicate confidently
* Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
* Must drive (limited public transport access)
