Job Description

We are currently recruiting Physics Teachers to support secondary schools across the Wirral, with immediate starts available.

Due to high demand across a variety of schools, we have opportunities for both ad hoc supply and long-term placements.

The Role

1. Teaching Physics across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
2. Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
3. Supporting pupil progress and attainment
4. Maintaining strong classroom management and behaviour

What We’re Looking For

5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
6. Specialism in Physics or Science
7. Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
8. Strong subject knowledge and classroom presence
9. Flexible, reliable and adaptable approach

Job Specification

If you specialise in teaching biology, physics, or chemistry and are seeking a role in a school, we’ve got opportunities for you, especially if you’re a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or interested in supply teaching.

As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:

14. Hold QTS status
15. Teach all areas of your subject specialism
16. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
17. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
18. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
19. Maintain discipline
20. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
21. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
22. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
23. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
