Supply Chain Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Supply Chain Engineer to work as part of the Special Test Measurements team in Derby, providing a mixed portfolio of both new and mature capabilities to the aftermarket.
Experimental Engineering is responsible for all aspects of measurement methods and capabilities to support experimental, production, and aftermarket requirements. The aftermarket business involves the supply, calibration, and maintenance of Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), used during engine maintenance to determine engine or component operability.
This is a customer-facing role servicing over 200 customers worldwide and engaging with strategic suppliers to deliver new products and maintain existing ones.
The role is broad and benefits individuals with a comprehensive technical understanding of the product domain complemented by engineering logistical skills.

Responsibilities:
* Interface with customers and strategic suppliers regarding orders and inquiries.
* Coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues.
* Manage supply chain activities.
* Monitor delivery of new products and repairs to meet plans and service levels.
* Communicate progress to stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Experience in logistics leadership and supply chain management is advantageous.
* Electronics or electronic design experience preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
* Supplier management experience.
* Negotiation skills and ability to handle ambiguity.
* Team-oriented.
