We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Trading Manager to join our B&M team based in our Central Support Office in Lasswade on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will manage the online platform to ensure dobbies.com drives strong sales through developing a digital strategy specific to your category(s), including product and brand onboarding, edit creation, and on-site merchandising. As a manager and leader within Dobbies, you will demonstrate strong team management skills, driving performance by empowering your direct reports and teams to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee the overall sell-through of the business, ensuring all products achieve strong sales. Be the creative and strategic thinker to deliver a clear product focus through edit creation and on-site mechanisms.
2. Support the digital strategy by owning and delivering on the category-specific plans.
3. Utilize analytics to understand customer behaviors and develop optimal customer journeys and online experiences.
4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure dobbies.com accurately represents our stores and product offerings.
5. Act as a digital champion, recognizing and implementing trends.
6. Set up and build new products online, ensuring all features, categories, pricing, imagery, and attributes are accurate.
7. Work with Buying & Operations to complete product attribute sheets accurately.
8. Upload and maintain products on the detail pages.
9. Manage daily website checks, coordinate fixes, and respond promptly to issues raised by Customer Service.
10. Ensure visual merchandising aligns with guidelines for allocated categories.
11. Write product descriptions as needed.
12. Support seasonal sales launches and promotions.
13. Assist with user acceptance testing for new functionalities, reporting issues, bugs, and enhancements.
14. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Merchandising, Creative, Buying, Customer Service, and Operations.
15. Work closely with the E-commerce team on administrative tasks.
16. Contribute to weekly/monthly reports and present trading analyses.
17. Manage team budget, performance, and development.
18. Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and engaging work environment.
19. Provide leadership in creating a positive workplace culture, recognizing achievements, and inspiring the team.
20. Offer coaching with honest and constructive feedback.
