Reporting Line
This position reports to: Service Operations Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
Support the business, collaborate with different teams, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives. We seek an energetic individual to join our UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) division within the field services team. Training will be provided locally in the UK and at our UPS factory in Quartino, Switzerland. The role is onsite, contributing to the Electrification, Smart Power UK division. You will be trained to work in the fast-paced UPS market supporting ABB equipment. The training will cover electrical/electronic engineering fundamentals, ABB's market approach, and technical skills including commissioning, maintenance, diagnostics, repair, battery technologies, and electrical systems. Post-training, you will be proficient in these areas and participate in formal training to develop personal and leadership skills.
Qualifications
* Interest in electrical/electronic engineering and a career in engineering.
* GCSE grade 4 or above in 6 subjects, including Maths and English; A Levels or equivalent BTEC National Diploma preferred.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and in teams, with problem-solving skills.
* Full clean driving license, as travel to customer and ABB sites is required.
