We are partnering with forward-thinking and inclusive secondary schools across Northampton that are seeking dynamic Science Teachers for a September 2026 or April 2026 start. These full-time roles are available as either contract or permanent positions, providing an excellent opportunity to teach in well-resourced departments, collaborate with supportive colleagues, and make a meaningful impact on students' learning.
About the Role:
Deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching available depending on experience)
Plan creative and inclusive lessons to support students of all abilities in developing scientific understanding
Use practical experiments and investigations to bring Science to life
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
Participate in departmental planning, enrichment activities, science clubs, trips, and STEM events
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school improvementWe're Looking For:
A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of effective teaching strategies
Ability to inspire students and make Science accessible and engaging
Commitment to high standards, student achievement, and fostering curiosity
Excellent classroom management, organisational skills, and a collaborative approach
