Purpose of Role
Bytes is seeking a Technical Pre‑Sales Solutions Architect - Modern Workplace to help drive solution adoption, customer transformation, and new business growth across our client base.
If you're a technical pre‑sales specialist with deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace technologies, this role offers the opportunity to lead high‑value customer conversations, shape strategic solution design, and support the continued growth of one of the UK’s leading technology partners.
In this position, you’ll act as the go‑to authority for Modern Workplace and security solutions - advising customers, developing innovative architectures, delivering compelling demonstrations, and supporting our sales teams with specialist technical insight.
What You’ll Be Doing
Modern Workplace Expertise
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert across Microsoft 365, including:
* Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform, Intune, and Azure Active Directory
* Provide internal and external thought leadership to promote the Bytes brand
* Develop best practices, innovative approaches, and solution frameworks
* Own complex Modern Workplace and security solution designs
* Ensure technical integrity, functionality, and commercial viability
* Deliver solution presentations, workshops, and demonstrations
Customer & Internal Collaboration
* Work with stakeholders to drive the M365 strategy
* Support sales teams and implementation teams for end‑to‑end customer success
* Represent Bytes at events, webinars, roundtables, and customer‑facing activities
Proposal Ownership
* Produce Statements of Work, RFP responses, and proposals
* Track opportunities through CRM and provide monthly pipeline & activity updates
What You’ll Bring
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Architect, Pre‑Sales, or Sales Engineering role
* Microsoft 365 certifications (essential)
* Strong understanding of IT, networking, and Modern Workplace security
* Proven track record delivering high‑quality proposals, RFP responses, and SoWs
* Outstanding communication and influencing skills - written, verbal, and presentation
* Ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships and work independently
* Commercial awareness and strong problem‑solving capabilities
