Lecturer in Electronic Engineering [Ref: CW6528]

£27,785 - £43,325 per annum, plus £610 Crawley Weighting Allowance. Up to 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (part time or job share will be considered).

Are you an experienced and passionate Electronic Engineering professional looking to inspire the next generation? Our Electronic Engineering role focuses on developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as automation, robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical machines, and embedded systems. The courses are designed to meet professional body standards and include hands-on learning in state-of-the-art STEM facilities, preparing students for careers in engineering or progression to university-level study.

You will be joining the College at an exciting time, becoming part of our new Institute of Technology. These Institutes of Technology are collaborations between Further Education providers, Universities and employers. They specialise in delivering higher technical education, with the aim of addressing local and regional skills shortages in STEM subjects. A new multi-million pound facility will support cutting edge training for students on full time, part time and apprenticeship courses.

Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students at levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Electronic Engineering.
* Develop and deliver course content that aligns with professional body standards and industry needs.
* Support student progression to further study or employment in engineering-related roles.
* Engage with the new Institute of Technology initiative and contribute to curriculum development and partnerships with industry and higher education.


Qualifications

* Experienced and passionate Electronic Engineering professional with the ability to inspire students.
* Experience with automation, robotics, PLCs, electrical machines, and embedded systems is desirable.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning and supporting students at multiple levels.
