Overview
Situated in the residential area of Kings Reach in the market town of Biggleswade, our private, luxury care home offers several types of care for up to 65 residents. You will be a key person responsible for helping us achieve an excellent standard of care and be an integral part of our care team, promoting the values and ethos of our home.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with their daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, encouraging them to make positive choices and remain independent.
* Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands‑on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
* Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and help with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
* Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
* Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, or a passion for care and transferable skills.
* Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork in everything you do.
