Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef - Exciting New Venue (Near Winchester) Salary: £32,000 per year for Sous Chef About the Venue: We're representing an exciting new hospitality venue located near Winchester - a relaxed and welcoming space currently open for weekday lunches and available for private events and live music evenings. As the business grows, there are plans to introduce breakfast service and open on Saturdays, along with expanding the live event calendar. To make that happen, we're now looking for a passionate and motivated Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef to join the team and help shape the food offering as the venue develops. The Role: You'll be joining a small, close-knit kitchen team consisting of a Head Chef and a Commis Apprentice. The role would suit an ambitious chef looking for more responsibility, creativity, and the chance to grow alongside a new and evolving operation. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head Chef with all aspects of kitchen management Prepare and serve high-quality, fresh dishes for weekday lunches and event menus Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety Train and mentor junior staff Help drive new ideas for breakfasts, dinners, and event offerings as the business expands Hours & Working Pattern: Currently: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (lunch service) Occasional evening shifts for live music or private events Planned expansion includes: Breakfast service and Saturday openings (once additional kitchen staff are onboard) We're looking for someone flexible and enthusiastic who's excited to be part of a new venue finding its rhythm.
