Key Responsibilities:
* Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate speech and language therapy programmes for pupils.
* Provide speech and language therapy to pupils across the three SEN sites.
* Offer support to pupils, teachers and caregivers in preventing or problem-solving around pupils' learning, behaviour, communication and social emotional development.
* Set speech and language therapy targets for integration into the curriculum, liaising with parents and teaching staff.
* Contribute to effective team development, and evaluate and improve service delivery.
* Maintain high quality records of communication and intervention according to professional standards.
* Participate in regular staff and therapy team meetings.
* (Band 6 only) Supervise students and therapy assistants.
Role Requirements:
* A degree qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
* A member of RCSLT.
* Experienced in working within specialist educational settings with young people with social communication disorders (3 years or more).
* Knowledgeable about developmental speech and language disorders, as well as speech, language and communication disorders associated with complex conditions and emotional/behavioural disorders.
* An expert in a broad range of assessment procedures and therapeutic interventions relevant to the client group.
* A skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, empathy and observation skills.
* A team player with strong leadership abilities
