 
        
        West London NHS Trust (WLT) has been commissioned to provide the first female, Level 2 specialist mental health high support rehabilitation ward at The Orchard Unit, St Bernards Hospital, Ealing.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager to lead the dedicated team on Melrose ward, on a permanent or 1‑year secondment contract. This unique opportunity will shape the future of female mental health rehabilitation within a supportive and innovative environment.
Melrose ward is a 10‑bed Level 2 specialist mental health high support rehabilitation ward providing trauma‑informed, gender‑sensitive care with a biopsychosocial model of assessment. The service offers intensive support to women with complex mental health needs, facilitates family involvement and social inclusion, and supports transitions to community settings.
Responsibilities
 * Establish and maintain communication with patients, carers, and staff on complex and potentially stressful topics.
 * Develop knowledge and practice across the ward and service.
 * Promote best practice in health, safety, and security.
 * Develop and improve the services.
 * Enable patients to exercise their rights and promote equality and diversity.
 * Ensure ongoing assessment of patients’ care needs.
 * Plan, deliver, and evaluate care programmes addressing complex and changing needs of all patients.
 * Develop and sustain partnership working with individuals, groups, communities, and agencies.
 * Lead the ward team in knowledge and practice development.
 * Allocate, coordinate, monitor, and assess the work of the team and individuals.
