Adore Recruitment is partnering with a specialist business operating at the cutting edge of the fuels market, supplying bespoke fuel solutions to the downstream Oil Majors, Automotive, Aerospace and Motorsport industries.
Salary: £35,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Location: Office-Based - Must drive due to location
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Due to growth, they are now seeking a Fuels Technician to join their Technical Services Team and play a key role in delivering highly complex and specialist fuel projects.
The Role
As a Fuels Technician, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple technical projects from concept through to completion, formulating bespoke fuel blends while supporting production efficiency and exceptional customer service. You will also provide mentoring support to the wider technical team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing multiple technical projects from start to finish
* Independently formulating a wide range of specialist fuel blends using modelling and empirical blending methods
* Troubleshooting issues across production, logistics and commercial processes
* Supporting customer meetings with pre- and post-sales technical expertise
* Identifying new applications for fuel products based on customer and market insight
* Assisting with raw material specification, sourcing, testing and approval
* Implementing best-practice processes alongside senior technical leadership
* Providing mentoring and technical support to other team members
* Ensuring full compliance with HSE standards and best practice guidelines
About You
* Degree-qualified in Chemistry (or equivalent) – essential
* Experience within a laboratory essential, ideally with standard fuel test methods
* Proven experience managing technical or laboratory-based projects
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident communicator with the ability to support and motivate others
* Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
Salary & Benefits
* Salary circa £35,000 per annum
* Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
* Office-based role - must drive due to location
* 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
* 10% discretionary annual bonus (paid in January, pro rata)
