Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop clear, challenging learning objectives aligned with school policies, tailored to the field of computer science.
2. Assign homework in accordance with year group policies, promoting independent study and reinforcing classroom learning.
3. Identify and provide support for students with Special Educational Needs in computer science.
4. Plan engaging lessons that prioritise pace, motivation, and challenge, with continuous assessment and adjustment to ensure student progress.
5. Uphold effective teaching through high expectations, fostering a solid understanding of computer science concepts and maintaining discipline.
6. Create a secure and stimulating learning environment, utilising various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
7. Differentiate instruction to accommodate students of all abilities, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
8. Provide constructive feedback on student work, maintaining accurate records and tracking student progress meticulously.
9. Champion equal treatment for all students, safeguarding their welfare and fostering inclusively in the classroom.
10. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of school policies and procedures, positively shaping the school's educational ethos.
11. Actively participate in appraisal procedures and engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills.
12. Attend school meetings and maintain positive communication with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
13. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation or strong background in computer science.
14. Evidence of excellent classroom practice or the potential to achieve it in the field of computer science.
15. Proven track record of successful student outcomes in computer science across Key Stages.
16. High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour in the context of computer science education.
17. Eligibility to work in the UK.
18. Passion for providing extensive extra-curricular opportunities related to computer science.
