What You'll Do
1. Lead and deliver complex aquatic field surveys: macroinvertebrates, macrophytes, fish (electrofishing, netting, translocations)
2. Conduct water quality, hydrology and habitat assessments
3. Prepare and review technical reports and impact assessments (WFD, HRA, EcIA)
4. Manage medium-scale projects: budgets, timelines and client relationships
5. Mentor and develop junior ecologists
6. Contribute to restoration, R&D and wider research initiatives
What You Bring
7. Chartered (CIEEM) or equivalent professional status
8. Proven experience in aquatic ecology fieldwork and assessments
9. Strong technical writing and project-management skills
10. A passion for biodiversity enhancement and sustainable design
11. Full UK driving licence
