Practice Manager – Podiatry Clinic
Full-time | Taunton (TA1 1TQ)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year (dependent on experience)

The Foot & Gait Clinic has been part of the Taunton community for over 30 years. We're a busy, multi-disciplinary podiatry and gait clinic dedicated to helping patients move well, feel better and live healthier lives.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and approachable Practice Manager to oversee the smooth running of our clinic. Working closely with the Commercial & Operations Director and Managing Director, you will lead and support two medical receptionists and oversee appointments made by our remote reception team, ensuring patients always receive a warm and professional service.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
* Manage and assist with day-to-day clinic operations.
* Oversee and assist with patient scheduling, records, payments and health insurance claims.
* Manage and respond to patient queries, support/educate the reception team where necessary.
* Liaise with external orthotics labs and diagnostic imaging centres regarding work/referrals for patients.
* Ensure all monies are banked appropriately and ensure effective credit control methods are in place including payments of invoices and collection of outstanding debts
* Ensure all practice equipment is maintained and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and practice policies.
* Control inventory and stock ordering system
* Develop and keep up-to-date all practice policies and procedures
* Lead, support and motivate the reception team.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, data protection and clinic standards.
* Work with the directors to improve systems, processes and patient experience.
* Undertake appropriate HR duties in respect of induction and training.
* Arrange and attend training and practice meetings
* Participate in relevant promotional days.
* Use email and other effective channels for communication, in accordance to company guidelines.
Skills and Experience
* Experience working as a Practice manager/ senior administrator for at least 2 years in the healthcare industry or similar
* Experience in managing people and operations (healthcare or customer-facing role ideal).
* An excellent communicator
* A team player with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Capable of meeting deadlines under pressure
* Organised, adaptable and able to juggle priorities.
* IT literate with excellent English writing and reading skills and be comfortable learning new systems.
