Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker Undertake initial assessments and complete detailed reports. Attend strategy meetings and conduct Section 47 investigations. Formulate and review Child in Need (CIN) plans. Progress cases to ICPCC, PLO, or court where required. Contribute to safeguarding and protection through multi-agency working. Flexibility Hybrid working is supported provided tasks are completed. Social Workers are expected in the office at least 1 day a week (team day) during non-duty weeks. Office-based presence is required every day during duty week (every 4–5 weeks). Requirements of the Social Worker Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration. Previous experience within a Duty & Assessment Team. Knowledge of CIN, PLO, and court processes (desirable but not essential). Strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills.
