Overview
Our client are seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to join a dynamic, office‑based team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical aptitude who is looking to develop within a specialist and growing sector.
Responsibilities
* Manage enquiries from initial assessment through to quotation and order processing.
* Work closely with internal teams, clients and suppliers to ensure suitable products and solutions are specified for each project.
* Review and assess incoming enquiries from internal teams and customers.
* Advise on suitable products in collaboration with clients and manufacturing teams.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates using specialist software and internal systems.
* Calculate associated costs such as transport and installation.
* Produce and issue quotations and handle follow‑up queries.
* Check incoming orders against quotations for accuracy and completeness.
* Support contract reviews and liaise with relevant departments where needed.
* Co‑ordinate with accounts regarding credit terms and payments.
* Communicate with production teams and customers on schedules, samples and documentation.
* Attend regular internal project handover meetings.
* Interpret drawings and client briefs to produce accurate take‑offs.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
About You
* Have strong numerical, literacy and IT skills (experience with estimating software is beneficial).
* Be technically minded with a keen eye for detail.
* Ideally have experience in estimating within curtain walling, façades or window systems (training can be provided).
* Be confident reviewing tenders and technical specifications.
* Be comfortable working with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
* Work well both independently and as part of a team.
