Nursery Manager @ CORNERSTONE NURSERIES LTD | BA (Hons)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, inspirational and committed qualified Early Years Educator to join our well established nursery team.
The candidate must hold a level 2 or 3 qualification or above, with a hands‑on approach and a passion for caring and nurturing the development of all children. We are searching for someone with a strong character who isn't afraid to use their initiative.
You will be a key person, responsible for the care, welfare and education of the children in your group. To do this you need comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS and good teaching practice. The position requires you to form good working relationships with parents, and maintain a positive and approachable attitude to support our friendly, hardworking and welcoming team.
First aid and food hygiene are desirable, but training can be organised.
Purpose of post

* Have a working knowledge of EYFS and put this into practice through planning and assessments.

Duties and responsibilities
* Delivery a range of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your room.
* Keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys.
* Support all staff and engage in a good staff team and share new ideas within the nursery.
* Liaise with and support parents and other family members during our workshop and charity day events.
* Be involved in out‑of‑working‑hours activities, e.g., training, staff meetings, parent evening, fundraising events, etc.
* Be flexible within working practices of the nursery and be prepared to help where needed, including domestic jobs such as preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, and setting of rooms.
* Undertake risk assessments of the children's learning environments both indoor and outdoor.
* Read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures.
* Respect the confidentiality of all information received.
* Ensure mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing and align with our model eating.
* Wash and change children as required.
* Maintain good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
* Uphold the standards of the nursery at all times, both within work hours and outside.
* Ensure provision of a high‑quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history.
* Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in early years childcare & education or above.
Hours of Work
* 40 hours per week, shift within opening times 7.30‑6.30.
