Our portfolio includes flagship PFI contracts with the Ministry of Defence—covering key sites such as Northwood HQ and the MoD Main Building in Whitehall—as well as partnerships with County Councils and Education Authorities across the UK.
We’re now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a 12 month FTC to support the commercial and financial managerial functions across building services.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor - you will:
* Be responsible for the commercial and financial delivery of new works, lifecycle and business as usual activities. This will involve working closely with the commercial manager to secure an excellent financial performance as per the business plan and current forecast.
* Report to the business and be responsible for the financial portfolio ensuring targets and milestone are met.
* Assist the CM in leading and supporting the ‘Commercial Team’ embedded within fast paced, high-profile, Private Finance Initiative (PFI) based contracts.
* Oversee the measuring of works completed and agree payment applications.
* The successful candidate will be provided with training and development opportunities to hone the skills required for eventual promotion within the team.
* Monitor progress of applications and any disputes.
We are looking for:
* Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution
* Experience of technical minute taking at contractual meetings and able to demonstrate the ability to collate information and prepare reports
* Experience of drafting contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Director and preparation of payment certificates and interim financial reports
This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
