Goods inwards material handler

Job Summary:

Our client GKN (https:///) are currently sourcing for a Goods Inward Material Handler to work at their facility in Luton (postcode is LU2 9PQ)

The role will primarily involve moving materials in and around the site, straddling the Material Handler duties with more Goods Inwards based tasks. Candidate must be physically able to deal with lifting and carrying, as well as being capable of spending long periods of time on their feet. Any prior forklift driving and or/SAP experience would be beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

1. Use adequate equipment to move material i.e. Forklift
2. Off-loading of vehicles
3. Use SAP (ERP system) to replenish and/or transfer materials prior to delivering lineside
4. Pick & deliver materials using various trolleys, pallet trucks and lifting equipment
5. Locate stock in designated storage locations post goods receipt
6. Inventory cycle counting of stores and lineside stock
7. Dispose of scrap materials and hazardous waste
8. maintain stock accuracy
9. Support Goods in receiving and booking in
10. Replenish Kanban systems
11. Record movement of material in the transactional record systems
