Role Overview:
We are seeking professional, well-organized, and dedicated individuals to perform the role of a domestic loss adjuster. This role involves handling a portfolio of domestic losses, from visiting customers to finalizing claims. With experience and professional qualifications, you can progress to handling claims up to £100k. Full training will be provided. We consider candidates with no prior loss adjusting experience but with the right attributes.
Our adjusters adopt a mix of site, home, and office-based working, supporting a healthy work/life balance. You will engage with multiple stakeholders, requiring excellent communication and coordination skills, always keeping the customer updated. When in the office, you’ll find bright, open surroundings conducive to collaboration.
You will be part of an extensive team, with dedicated technical and managerial support, and training available for systems and remote working if needed.
Required for this role:
* Effective communication skills for interacting with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical skills to assess causes and extents of losses.
* Ability to handle complex property damage claims.
* Accuracy in assessing damages and determining compensation.
* Capability to manage multiple claims, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Empathy and excellent customer service skills.
* Strong negotiation skills for fair settlements.
* Willingness to work away from home during busy periods or as needed in other regions.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
* Adaptability to different situations for effective claim resolution.
* Understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and property damage assessment, or basic knowledge of home insurance and construction.
