Location: Lambeth, South London Start Date: [Insert date or "ASAP"] Contract Type: Full-time | Term-time only Salary: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience) About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 2-4 who face barriers to learning due to social, emotional, or mental health challenges. You'll work closely with class teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to create a nurturing and structured environment that encourages growth and engagement. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students' individual needs Foster positive relationships and model appropriate behaviours Assist with de-escalation and behaviour management strategies Support classroom activities, both academic and therapeutic Contribute to EHCP reviews and behaviour support plans About You: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (school or alternative setting preferred) Calm, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or psychology is a plus Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Ready to make an impact?
