Hunt's Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated Practice Manager to join our busy, forward-thinking small animal practice in Cheshire.
About the Role As Practice Manager at Hunt's Veterinary Clinic, you will oversee the daily operations of our small animal practice. Working closely with our clinical leadership team, you will contribute to business development and lead improvement initiatives. This role offers the chance to lead projects shaping the practice's future while supporting the team to achieve excellent results.
You will be responsible for managing the reception team, HR processes, and supporting financial and operational aspects. Strong organizational skills, a calm approach to problem-solving, and the ability to foster positive relationships are essential. The role is based mainly at our Poynton branch, with occasional travel to other sites and meetings.
Key Responsibilities Lead support functions, focusing on communication and team leadership.
Oversee the reception team, ensure proper staffing, and provide ongoing training.
Manage cash handling, banking, debt collection, and insurance claims.
Handle staff appraisals, employee relations, and ensure policy compliance.
Coordinate premises maintenance, liaise with Head Office and Business Support Manager.
Support projects for business growth and promote a safe working environment.
About Us Hunt's Veterinary Clinics has served small animal patients since 1966, specializing exclusively since 1997. We are RCVS accredited with three branches in Poynton, Woodley, and Cheadle Hulme, ensuring high-quality care across all sites.
Our team is known for its friendly, supportive atmosphere, with 7 veterinarians, 5 RVNs, 3 Client Care Team members, a VCA, and support staff, fostering collaboration and excellence.
Working Hours This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with flexible options. No weekends or out-of-hours shifts are required.
