The Student Wellbeing Advisor will provide a responsive, efficient and effective positive mental health, wellbeing and safeguarding service to meet the needs of students. The successful candidate will assess the needs of students experiencing difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing. The job plays a vital role in encouraging students’ resilience by providing coping mechanisms with wellbeing advice, referral to our counselling service or to external partners. Individual support, group events and curriculum workshops help our students to adopt a positive attitude to physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. The successful candidate will have a relevant SCQF L7 qualification (e.g. HNC) and have relevant current CPD in sector developments. They should have experience of providing advice to students about all aspects of student life and beyond as well as experience of supporting individuals and vulnerable groups with additional support needs, including mental health in an educational setting. It is essential that you have good verbal and written level of communication skills, as well as being student-centered, self-motivated, and able to travel between campuses if required.
