This is a fixed term post for 23 months with the possibility of a full-time position at the end of the training.

The Governors of St Sebastian’s RC Primary School are seeking to recruit a dedicated and talented teaching assistant to join our welcoming school.
We are looking for candidates that will:
* Aim to develop their skills under the guidance of school staff;
* Be committed to undertaking an apprenticeship framework in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools at level 2 (18 month study period);
* Be committed to undertaking functional skills in maths and English at Level 2 (if exemptions don’t apply)
* Be able to listen to advice given and follow clear directives;
* Have a positive approach to working with children;
* Commit to developing independent learners and encourage our children to achieve their potential;
* Be flexible in working across all key stages;
* Be able to work efficiently and independently;
* Promote a nurturing environment that stimulates positive behaviour and well-being;
* Commit to working in partnership with all those involved in the life of the school;
We will provide:

* Happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children who enjoy coming to school

* Supportive governors and parents
