About this role: Crystal Palace FC are looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at the Academy Training Ground in Beckenham. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in upholding the highest level of service. You will report directly into the Head Performance Chef & Executive Chef Responsibilities: Following the guidance of the Executive Chef & Head Performance Chef while having input into new ways of presentation of dishes. Also liaising with the nutritionist to ensure the food is balanced from both flavour and nutritional point of view. Working quickly and accurately during busy periods, including weekends and some evenings Helping in the preparation of all food menus Resourcefully solving any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation Complying with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintaining a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers Completing all relevant food hygiene, HACCP and delivery documentation Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager Upholding and promoting the Club policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures Experience, Skills and Qualifications: Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 Experience working as a chef Experience within an organisation where large numbers for catering are required including various food services A self-starter and able to take the initiative to complete tasks Able to cope under pressure in a calm and efficient manner to set and meet deadlines Willing to work flexible hours as regular weekend, bank holiday and evening work is required Benefits: Complimentary match day ticket Reward and Discount Scheme through our Tech Scheme and Simple Health app Health and Wellbeing benefit scheme 20% Discount in our Retail Stores Discounts in various gyms through GymFlex Volunteering Day - 1 Workday off to support a charity of your choice.
