AJ Chambers is working with a Top 10 firm based in the city that is looking for a qualified Audit Manager to join their team. You will be working on a portfolio of clients in excess of £650,000 in the firm's Corporate team. This team is the fastest growing in the firm and is a key strategic priority for the firm. The group works with the firm's largest clients and /or most complex audit clients. Typically these are either larger multinational private groups, AIM listed groups or smaller Public Interest Entities (PIE). The corporate audit team focuses on mid-market private, listed and PE-backed businesses. Their clients vary in size and maturity from multi-billion pound UK headquartered groups with global operations, to smaller high-growth businesses with significant financial backing – and everything in between. What will you be doing?Day to day leadership of audits including being the key contact for the client, engagement partner and supporting team membersLeadership of all aspects of audit assignment including:Job planningBudgetingTime managementDelegating to and supervising of teamEffective and timely communication to engagement partner and senior client contactsSubsequent monitoring of team progress and managing projectsDetailed review of file, debriefing team with a key focus on quality and feedbackFinalisation of file for Partner review.Experience in both substantive & controls-based audits.Managing the audit for large groups and experience in group reporting.
