We’re looking for an Office & Community Manager, on a year maternity leave contract. You’ll be based in our London office, ideally working in the office at least 3 days a week (Tuesdays to Thursdays are our busiest days).
As iwoca’s Office & Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our amazing office environment. You’ll identify ways to make our space even more conducive to working efficiently and you’ll help us build a strong community across all our teams and offices (we currently have offices in London, Leeds and Frankfurt) via iwoca events and retreats.
Whether it’s liaising with our landlord, ensuring the coffee machine is always full of beans, getting the pool table re-felted, managing cleaning contracts, handling visitors and deliveries, or working with professional designers to give our office a makeover, you'll play a massively important role in maintaining a wonderful office environment.
You’ll also help people to get to know each other and build a great community among iwocans. You’ll organise company-wide events such as the summer and winter parties, iwoca retreats and events such as pancake day, pool tournaments and Eid celebrations.
Through all of these responsibilities, you’ll make a real difference to the happiness of an exceptionally hard-working and fun team.
What we’re looking for from candidates -
* Previous experience as an Office Admin/ Manager
* Proactive, you’ll anticipate potential issues and resolve them before they arise so that everything goes seamlessly
* Strong negotiation skills with experience managing supplier and vendor relationships
* A strong desire to help people and make yourself useful, you’ll be someone who gets a lot of satisfaction from helping others
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal skills and time management skills
* Creativity, you’ll bring some fresh ideas for how to make the office environment/events / etc even better
* Great stakeholder management - able to quickly build trust with people from across the business
* Able to work under pressure, and keen to get candid feedback (both on the things you do great and things that can be better) to keep developing yourself
