Overview
We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a part time basis, contracted to 24 hours per week. The role involves leading shifts, delivering excellent coffee and food service, and supporting the team in a hospital environment. This position is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check; costs met by the employer.
Responsibilities
* Lead shifts when required, including opening or closing the store
* Train and support Baristas in delivering an unbeatable coffee experience
* Make and present hot and cold foods to include sandwiches, paninis and toasties
* Cash management of tills and floats
* Order consumables/food and accept deliveries
* Comply with store and hospital safety standards
* Review monthly audit scores and ensure standards are delivered 100% of the time
* Be knowledgeable about products and answer customer queries in a timely fashion
* Brief and communicate any changes or introduction of new drink recipes
* Assist with rotas, performance reviews and return-to-work interviews where applicable
* Work under pressure, individually and as part of a team with a flexible approach to meet business needs
* Act as a brand ambassador with a strong passion for coffee standards
* Maintain quality with a sound knowledge of health and safety and awareness of food and hygiene standards
* Communicate effectively with all customers, including patients, visitors and healthcare staff
* Be confident working in a hospital environment and aware that you may meet patients who are unwell or distressed
* Possess good IT skills; be fully competent in Microsoft Office and hold GCSE-level English and Maths
