We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service at Mayo House, which is located in Yate. We support seven people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent and meaningful lives. Mayo House is based within the community, supporting people to access local amenities, build independence and take part in everyday activities that matter to them. Driving is desirable for this role, as some people we support may wish to access activities within the local community. We are looking for someone who enjoys supporting people out and about, whether that’s going for a coffee, shopping, attending leisure activities, listening to music, watching films at the cinema, or enjoying other aspects of everyday life. You might be new to Social Care and have life experiences and a variety of skills and abilities that will benefit the people we support. We are committed to ensuring you receive the training and mentoring required as part of your induction into this role. Hours are worked on a shift‑rota pattern and will include some weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Shift patterns: 07.00 – 14.30 14.00 – 21.30 We work closely with families, health professionals and our social care colleagues to deliver support that is person‑centred and led by the individual.
