Main Responsibilities:
* Working in designated areas as prescribed on a rotating basis and as instructed by the Home Manager or Head of Care.
* Vacuuming and cleaning residents rooms, the corridors and all communal areas within the home to a high standard.
* Ensuring that the furniture, fittings including furniture, fabric, and equipment are also cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
* Being respectful of residents personal belongings and helping contribute to their upkeep / cleaning (e.g. furniture) and that any objects that are removed for cleaning are replaced in the same position.
* Ensuring the residents are safe whilst carrying out cleaning tasks.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to recognise residents'rooms and belongings are personal and private
* To demonstrate safe practice
* Good communication skills
* Maintain a polite and courteous manner towards residents, staff and visitors to the home at all times
* Awareness of health and safety and manual handling
