Responsibilities
Shifts are allocated on a roster basis with the earliest starting at 7am and the latest finish of 8pm. We provide a 7-day service, which includes working weekends and bank holidays.
* Schedule imaging appointments for a range of modalities; Ultrasound, X‑Ray, CT, and MRI. This includes calling patients to agree the appointment date and time, giving directions and providing relevant information in preparation for their scan.
* Answer incoming calls in a timely manner, working with the team to manage voicemails and emails, assisting patients, staff and healthcare professionals with any queries.
* Cover various reception desks within the department, welcoming patients for their appointments and assisting with queries. Some reception desks involve liaising with wards and portering services to arrange inpatient scheduling.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for people that are passionate about providing an exemplary service, to work as part of a dynamic team helping to deliver a safe and effective radiology service at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The successful candidate will be able to work in a systematic and methodical way, using their own initiative, be conscientious, and have excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills. Applicants will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload.
