Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the largest auditory implant service in the UK. Our integrated service incorporates cochlear implants, auditory brainstem implants and bone conduction implants for adults and children. The adult auditory implant service offers a holistic pre‑ and post‑implant service, combining all hearing and balance services under one management structure and within one hospital Trust. The department is purpose‑built with state‑of‑the‑art equipment and benefits from close educational and research links to the University of Manchester. Successful candidates should have recognised higher‑level training and experience in Audiology. The Trust holds UKAS accreditation for adult and paediatric services.

Responsibilities
* Assess adults for cochlear implant, auditory brainstem, or bone conduction hearing devices.
* Contribute to clinical decision‑making and attend multidisciplinary meetings.
* Provide initial activation (‘switch‑on’) of devices and ensure long‑term maintenance, support, and evaluation of patients using cochlear implants, auditory brainstem implants, or bone conduction implants.
