Home Manager - Residential Dementia Care HomeMatlock£50,000 - £53,000 | 40 beds |
We're looking for an experienced Home Manager to lead a well-established 40-bed residential care home in Matlock. The home supports older people living with a range of needs, with a strong focus on dementia care, physical disability, and sensory impairments.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary between £50,000 and £53,000, depending on experience.
About the Home
This is a purpose-built home that's been carefully developed and recently refurbished to offer a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. It's split across three units and has a great reputation locally for its person-centred approach and supportive staff team.
Residents here receive a mix of residential, dementia, and respite care. The home is suitable for people at different stages of dementia, from mild to complex, and also supports individuals with conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's, COPD, acquired brain injuries, and mental health needs.
There's a strong community feel, with local transport links and access to surrounding areas. The home also has its own minibus, and the gardens are a real highlight for residents and families.
About the Role
As Home Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall running of the home - from managing the staff team and overseeing care standards to working with families and keeping everything in line with CQC requirements. You'll have the support of a strong senior team but will be expected to lead with confidence and integrity.
This isn't a desk job - we're looking for someone who's happy to be visible, involved, and present in the day-to-day life of the home.
What We're Looking For
* Experience managing a residential or dementia care setting
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* A good understanding of CQC standards and expectations
* NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
* A consistent work history - we're looking for someone who'll bring stability and commitment to the role
What You'll Get
* £50,000 - £53,000 salary, based on experience
* Support from a wider senior management team
* A well-resourced, well-run service with a stable team
* Ongoing training and development opportunities
* The chance to really make a difference in a home that puts residents first
