Aardman Animations Director of People & Culture
Aardman is an employee-owned, independent studio with multiple awards, including Academy and BAFTA awards. Its work includes feature films, series, commercials, games, and interactive entertainment. Aardman’s brands are globally appealing, innovative, entertaining, and characterized by charm, reflecting the talent, energy, and commitment of its team. The studio’s work is often imitated, but it continues to lead in producing visually stunning content for cinema, broadcasters, digital platforms, and live events worldwide.
We are proud to be retained partners to Aardman for their search for a new Director of People & Culture.
This is a unique leadership opportunity to help shape the studio’s next chapter as it approaches its 50th anniversary.
This senior role involves working with the Executive Board to deliver Aardman’s mission: to create worlds that connect, immerse, and entertain global audiences.
The Director of People & Culture will be a visible, influential leader, internally and externally, promoting a positive employee culture to ensure Aardman remains a thriving, creative, and supportive workplace.
This position works closely with the Managing Director to set cultural tone and oversee corporate governance and best practices for an employee-owned organization.
You will provide expert leadership to the HR function, embedding best practices that enhance employee experience, nurture talent, and prepare the organization for future success.
We seek HR professionals with senior leadership experience, a strong background in People, Culture, and HR strategy, preferably in a creative or media environment. You should have a deep understanding of employee engagement principles and the ability to influence at the Board level, offering strategic insights and thought leadership on cultural and people-related issues.
