Responsibilities
* Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans or lorries, across designated routes
* Deliver goods to multiple customers within specified timeframes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
* Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures upon delivery
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns promptly
* Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all deliveries
Skills
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving multi-drop deliveries
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
* Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries
* Warehouse experience is advantageous, especially in handling heavy lifting tasks
* Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and prioritise deliveries
* Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items regularly
* Good time management skills to ensure punctuality throughout the shift
