Overview
The Lifestyles Co ordinator role is based in Kirkwall with bases at the Pickaquoy Centre and St. Colms Cafe and Crafts, providing person-centred day services and employment skills development opportunities for adults with a range of learning disabilities. The role supports the Scottish Government's agenda identified in The Keys to Life and the Health and Social Care Standards, promoting collaborative working with the individual and across all partners to maximise health, wellbeing and quality of life.
Salary
£17.32 - £18.52 / £18.81 - £20.27 per hour (Distant Islands Allowance included)
Hours & Contract
24.5 hours per week, Permanent
Location
Kirkwall, with travel between bases and community locations in Orkney as required.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support person-centred planning, developing and reviewing support plans and delivering to assessed outcomes.
* Demonstrate effective leadership, organisational and communication skills; manage change flexibly.
* Work across bases and in the community to meet the needs of the service users.
* Promote collaborative working with the individual and across partners to maximise health, wellbeing and quality of life.
* Travel efficiently between work locations within Orkney to meet operational requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of SVQ2 in Social Services and Health Care; requirement to achieve SVQ3 or HNC in Social Services and Health Care within 3 years of appointment (Grade F).
* For Grade G: SVQ3 or HNC in Social Services and Health Care or equivalent per SSSC qualification requirements.
* Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
