Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year Requirements: Ideally qualified to minimum HNC/HND in a relevant subject Quality professional with experience in process-based integrated management systems & business improvement in an engineering/manufacturing environment Experience using risk management and practical problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5Y, PFMEA) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) Quality auditing experience required Knowledge and experience of EN/AS9100 Excellent interpersonal skills Good planning and organizing skills to prioritize and monitor multiple tasks Ability to identify sustainable business improvements and ensure effective implementation Recognize and understand internal and external customer requirements Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization Highly self-motivated with determination and persistence to deliver results Recognize and understand regulatory and certification requirements Understanding of AS9145 APQP/PPAP (desirable) Understanding of AS9102 - First Article Inspection Requirements Responsibilities: Provide professional support and advice on all aspects of quality within NPI Manufacturing UK Apply quality expertise to critical business issues to support business excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction Provide quality assurance assistance in support of manufacturing excellence, including quality awareness training Support Manufacturing UK on all NPI programmes to achieve cost, time, and quality targets Assess and control product assurance quality processes and outputs Conduct independent assessments and audits to confirm successful implementation of processes and quality requirements Report audit outcomes and monitor progress of improvements from audit activities Maintain strong links with Quality Assurance colleagues across MBDA Work with Product Assurance Managers to define appropriate risk reduction strategies Provide advice on the use of SAP as a non-conformance management tool Support various levels of Non-Conformance Review Panels Analyze non-conformance defect data and undertake problem-solving investigations Assure compliance to the company BMS requirements within NPI manufacturing Support DFMEAs from a manufacturing perspective Facilitate PFMEAs for NPI products ensuring they are suitably reviewed Support lessons learnt activities and their application to future programs Provide input to the creation and update of Manufacturing Proposals Technologies: Excel Support SAP Security More: We are excited to offer the opportunity for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Product Assurance team in Stevenage, supporting our Manufacturing team across all NPI Programs.
