Through guiding, developing and motivating your team of Line Chefs, you’ll create a positive work culture that also represents what the brand and company are all about.
What you’ll be doing as Kitchen Manager
1. Keeping things compliant, safe and adhering to Health & Safety regulations and audit requirements
2. Support, motivate and develop any line chefs to support with continuing service excellence, safety and demonstration of company values and culture
3. Ensuring that all food is prepared, cooked and presented, quickly and efficiently, meeting all expected standards and company guidelines
4. Connecting with other functional leaders within the hotel to ensure smooth operation across departments, in order to enhance levels of gust service
5. Frequently reviewing guest feedback and seeking new, innovative ways to improve the guest experience
6. Keep up to date Kew Green promotional activities, initiatives and relevant projects
7. Completing the admin that takes place in the kitchen – including 3rd party contractors
8. Food-ordering and stocking levels, including all kitchen materials
9. Ensuring correct staffing levels and taking an active role in the recruitment and onboarding of new Line Chefs
10. Implement plans to improve sales and profitability and taking a proactive role in achieving financial targets set for your hotel
11. Manage wastage through correct product measurement.
What’ll make you a great fit
12. You’ll have experience as a Kitchen/Restaurant Manager or Head Chef
13. Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
14. Strong with numbers and budgets
15. You’ll love people – and as a result, have great interpersonal, communication skills and leadership skills
16. Details? You love them! You’ll be incredibly attentive with guests as a result
17. Pragmatic, flexible and able to remain focused on results under pressure and to challenging deadlines
