About The Job
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
1. Setting strategies, policies, standards, and practices to ensure alignment between business strategies, technology strategies, and enterprise transformation activities.
2. Ensuring compatibility of existing and planned solution components with relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and practices, with attention to security, privacy, and testing requirements.
3. Providing guidance and governance to support solution implementation, including managing change requests and deviations from specifications.
4. Managing solution and service design to mitigate failure risks that could impact service delivery, resident wellbeing, financial expenditure, and reputation.
5. Overseeing application development and support, ensuring user-centric design and high standards of quality and functionality.
6. Leading technical innovation by monitoring market and environmental trends, aligning them with business strategies, and identifying benefits of alternative strategies.
7. Developing and applying appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, ensuring proper documentation.
8. Building confidence among senior management in the team’s ability to deliver services efficiently and effectively within time and budget constraints.
9. Collaborating with senior management to identify, assess, and monitor risks continuously.
10. Leading, motivating, and developing team members, fostering open dialogue on expectations, progress, and development needs.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A degree or equivalent work-related experience.
* Experience in developing and implementing policies and strategies.
* Deep expertise in their specialization(s) and an understanding of their impact on broader business and customer outcomes.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage organizational risks.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating objectives to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role involves hybrid working, combining remote and office-based work, with face-to-face engagement required.
