Penketh Group are a leading provider of Office Interiors, Technology, Packaging, and Business Supplies, and we’re seeking an organised and conscientious individual to join our team as a Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a flair for finance who wants to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company with a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
2. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
3. Assist with bank reconciliations and cash management
4. Support month-end and year-end closing processes
5. Maintain and update financial records and documentation
6. Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers/customers
7. Provide administrative support to the finance team as required
Skills and Experience:
1. Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role (1-2 years preferred)
2. Proficiency in accounting software
3. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
4. Excellent organisational and time management abilities
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
6. AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable
