At Tata Steel Shotton you will lead a small mechanical team that looks after our site services and infrastructure - the kit that keeps production safe, reliable and on time. What you’ll be doing Owning the day-to-day mechanical maintenance across services and infrastructure so the plant runs safely and smoothly Planning jobs, managing spares and coordinating contractors so work is done right first time Setting the standard on safety and quality, and coaching others to follow it Spotting issues early and driving practical improvements to increase reliability and uptime Passing on your know-how - supporting apprentices and developing your team What you’ll bring Time-served mechanical background with experience in a heavy or industrial setting Clear communicator who can set priorities, organise work and motivate a team Solid grasp of safe systems of work and environmental good practice Comfortable using a CMMS such as SAP for planning and reporting Nice to have but not essential: crane maintenance, condition monitoring, laser alignment, and familiarity with LOLER, PUWER and COSHH If you have led people informally or you are a working supervisor ready to formalise that step, we would like to hear from you.
