Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to support our operation. The ideal candidate will possess their own tools and vehicle. Someone who already has their own work/business and they are looking to expand their business with regular work.
A strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating an ability to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to ensure the safety and performance of our fleet.
What you need:
* Own tools.
* Own vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Between sites in Exeter and Southampton.
* General repairs on Trailers.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
* Ability to work independently.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
* A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications such as an NVQ or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering are advantageous.
