The Role This is a really exciting opportunity for an Associate Engineer to step into a leadership role within an established, busy consultancy based in their Exeter office. The successful candidate will head up the design and project delivery process, manage the engineering team, and mentor junior staff, and be involved in business development activities. The position offers an opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects with close collaboration between offices with a well-established workload already in place. Responsibilities Lead structural and civil design and overall project delivery Manage engineers and technicians within the project team Mentor junior staff and support professional development Maintain communication with other offices to ensure coordinated project execution Ensure commercial awareness and adherence to project deadlines Requirements Degree (or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering Chartered Member of the ICE or IStructE Minimum of seven years' experience in structural engineering Proven ability to lead project teams and deliver high-quality outcomes Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills What’s in it for me?
